Sao Paulo urban art

In Sao Paulo, Brazil it often seems like there isn't a wall left that is not marked with grafitti. Residents have found that one way to discourage this vandalism is to have there wall painted with murals and artistic scenes. It is usually done with spay paint. Here are some examples from a wall in the neghborhood of Sao Miguel.

Is graffiti a vandalism? Er~I don't think so.
But it's really a wise way to discourage a vandalism by painting.
But I'm so impressed about their wisdom. It's really a gentle way to discourage a vandalism by painting.By creating another art.
